Student Councils and the Community

The general aim of the project is to inform and empower student councils to actively participate in school life and advocate for student rights in order to improve the position of students and enhance the connection between schools and the local community. Through this aim, the project will empower children and youth to engage in decision-making processes, encourage their self-organization, strengthen social inclusion, and promote activism and volunteer engagement through experiential learning and connection with the local community.

Specific objectives are:

To conduct two educational programs (three workshops per educational program – a total of 6 workshops) for student councils in two schools in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.
To increase the knowledge and improve the social and civic skills of at least 20 students in the following areas: the rights and responsibilities of student councils, creating a work plan for student councils, presenting the work of student councils in the school, and connecting the work of student councils with the local community.

The project is implemented with the financial support of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.
