The project aims to empower high school students to actively participate in decision-making and advocate for the rights of students in the school and community, and to encourage them to engage in their local community.
This is planned through a series of activities that will increase the knowledge and skills of students for joint decision-making about the rights and obligations of students in schools, raise awareness about the importance and principles of democratic schools, and increase knowledge and skills related to engagement in the student council. Five main activities will be organised for the members of student councils in Rijeka, in cooperation with a group of 10 students.
Throughout the project, young people will have the support of youth workers who will facilitate their work, mentor and encourage them in their growth and development, as well as encourage creative and critical thinking about their role as representatives of students in their schools and the local community, the city of Rijeka.
The project is co-funded by the European Union within the Erasmus+ programme (KA154).
